The F.P. Journe Chronograph FB is a new and unique watch released to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the brand's first boutique in Tokyo. This limited edition timepiece is the last of its kind and features a classic hand-wound chronograph movement. Unlike previous limited editions, this watch will not be reproduced in the future.
The Chronograph FB is part of the Boutique Anniversaire Series, which began in 2005 with a 20-piece limited edition Chronomètre Souverain. It was followed by the Chronomètre à Résonance in 2006, the Tourbillon Souverain in 2007, and the Octa Perpétuelle in 2009. In 2016, FP Journe released 80 pieces to celebrate the tenth anniversary of each boutique, each one engraved with the name of the corresponding city.
The Chronograph FB features a polished titanium case, gold crown and pushers, burgundy-colored strap, and ruthenium-toned dial. It is the first hand-wound chronograph of its kind from Journe, making it a significant release for high-end watchmakers.
Measuring 40mm in diameter and 10.40mm in thickness, this watch is housed in a polished grade 5 titanium case. The dial is made of solid silver with a clou de Paris guilloché center and features orange Arabic numerals. The sub-counters display running seconds and a 60-minute timer, with a large date at 6 o'clock. The dial also includes a unique tachymeter scale that indicates the speed for a distance of 1,000m using the chronograph seconds hand.
The movement of the Chronograph FB is made from solid rose gold and is beautifully finished. It is a hand-wound flyback chronograph with a column-wheel and oscillating pinion. The watch has a power reserve of 80 hours and operates at a frequency of 3Hz.
This commemorative edition of the Chronograph FB is limited to 200 pieces and marks the end of limited editions from Journe. It will be available exclusively at the brand's official salons.
