A total of 235 buses were in service in the city, and the air conditioning checks were carried out on the orders of the city's mayor, Natalia Kotova, due to the hot weather.
Nine buses were found to have faulty equipment and were sent for repairs. They were fixed and returned to service within a few hours, according to Andrey Ksenzov, the city's vice mayor for road management and transportation.
The hot weather also contributed to an increase in the number of people visiting the city's beaches, with over 10,000 people enjoying the city's water bodies. However, there were also incidents where 37 people required assistance from lifeguards, and two individuals had to be rescued from drowning.
Furthermore, there have been several incidents of people swimming in unauthorized areas and under the influence of alcohol, leading to serious consequences for the region.
It is important to note that swimming in unofficial areas without trained lifeguards can be extremely dangerous, and people should always adhere to safety guidelines and swim responsibly.
