After undergoing reconstruction in Rostov-on-Don, Flower Clocks have been returned to Krasnodar. The clocks now have new hands and a dial, modern electronic components, and lighting. The mayor of Krasnodar, Evgeny Naumov, stated that the mechanism has traveled hundreds of kilometers to reclaim its place and has been equipped with updated lighting and modern internet-controlled electronics. The clocks will also play the anthem of Krasnodar through its speakers. The installation of the clocks took two days and a test run has already been conducted. The surrounding area will also undergo transformation, making it a great gift for the city's day.
The appearance of the art object in the future park has been significantly changed. The angle of the clock face has been increased from 10 to 15 degrees to ensure good visibility from different points. Currently, storm sewers with five manholes are being laid, and electrical and internet cables are being installed. The electrical systems will provide power for the clock mechanism, the automatic watering pump, and the 15 lighting poles. Video surveillance cameras will be mounted on the poles.
The final touches include planting 12 six-meter tulip trees, four large-leaf linden trees, and evergreen ornamental shrubs. The Flower Clock's basin will be adorned with junipers and begonias. The park will also feature flower beds with sage, lavender, magnolia, lilac, and weigela, creating a living plant calendar with a riot of colors from early spring to late autumn.
The construction of the park at the intersection of Krasnaya and Gavrilova streets began in late March. Previously, abandoned commercial facilities were dismantled in the area. A sports facility will be built on the site of the old market in the Jubilee microdistrict. From September 1st, when the market ceases to function, the tenants will organize trade at stationary fairs. The freed-up space will be used for a social facility. Mayor Naumov stated that even small areas should not be neglected in the improvement of territories. He added that a project for a sports space is being developed on the site, taking into account the area, utility networks, and the wishes of the residents.
