This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the main events of Car Week with Rolex. From the Tour D'Elegance to vintage racing at Laguna Seca and the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Car Week is an incredible experience for car enthusiasts. As the main partner of the Tour D'Elegance since 2007, Rolex is a significant presence throughout the event, with their iconic watches spotted on the wrists of many attendees.
The Pebble Beach Tour D'Elegance allows enthusiasts to get up close and personal with over 150 cars that will be featured at the Concours. It's a free event that takes participants on a 70-mile route along Highway 1 to Big Sur and back to Pebble Beach. The scenic drive offers breathtaking views and the opportunity to witness these stunning cars in action.
The Quail, known as the Catalina Wine Mixer of Car Week, is a garden party and car show rolled into one. From historic racers to modern hypercars, The Quail showcases a diverse collection of automobiles. As a long-time partner of the event, Rolex is prominently featured throughout the show, and attendees can admire a wide range of Rolex watches on display.
The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca is the highlight of Car Week for many enthusiasts. The event brings together a variety of race cars, and attendees can experience the thrill of watching them speed around the track. Rolex's title sponsorship of the event adds to the excitement, and famous racers like Jenson Button participate in the races.
The grand finale of Car Week is the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. It is a prestigious judged competition that showcases over 200 cars from around the world. Rolex has been a partner of the event since 1997 and awards a special Rolex watch to the Best of Show winner. This year, a beautifully unrestored 1934 Bugatti Type 59 Sports took home the coveted title.
