I’ve had the pleasure of wearing the Christopher Ward C1 Bel Canto for over a year now. But today, I want to talk about the new release from Louis Erard, the 2300 Sport Chronograph. Louis Erard is known for their regulators and collaborations, but this watch is a more traditional offering from the brand.
The 2300 Sport Chronograph features a large case made of Grade 5 Titanium, with a black ceramic bezel. Powered by a Valjoux 7750 movement, it has a 6-9-12 layout with day and date functions. But what sets this watch apart is the dial.
Louis Erard takes inspiration from chronograph dials and their divided layouts, similar to regulators. In the 2300 Sport Chronograph, they emphasize the chronograph function with a vertically stacked design. The running seconds and day-date are still present, but the focus is on the chronograph.
The watch comes in three different versions, each with a unique 1970s racing dial design. The black dial option is the most straightforward, while the blue and green options offer a more vibrant look. The green version with orange accents is a standout choice. All three watches come on a color-matched FKM rubber strap.
The limited edition Louis Erard 2300 Sport Chronograph is now available to order for CHF 3,333.
