Residents of Tver are being advised to prepare for significant traffic disruptions in the Proletarsky District, particularly around Komsomolskaya Square, as construction work on the Western Bridge continues. The city administration has announced that preparatory activities will begin on February 19, with the installation of four temporary railway bridge spans scheduled to start on February 24.
These works, part of the redevelopment of the railway overpass above Kalinin Avenue and Komsomolskaya Square, are expected to cause temporary traffic restrictions. The main construction phase will take place from February 24 to 27, potentially leading to delays and congestion during peak hours.
To minimize inconvenience, drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes, such as the Southern Bypass of Tver via the M-10 highway, the Yuzhny microdistrict, or Dvor Proletarki Street. Pedestrians will be restricted to the sidewalk on the right side of the road heading towards the Migalovo microdistrict.
The city administration has emphasized the importance of planning ahead and considering these detours to avoid unnecessary delays. Commuters are advised to stay updated on traffic conditions and follow official guidance during this period.
